American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with experience in multiple specialties for an ambulatory OR position requiring NBSTSA certification and BLS.

Details

• Ambulatory surgical services unit with 2 ORs, 2 GI procedural rooms, and 1 VIR procedural room
• Patient population includes orthopedics (total joints, arthroscopy, hand, shoulder & elbow), interventional radiology, GI, ophthalmology, ENT, GYN, GU, endocrine, surgical oncology, plastics, robotics, and total joints
• No general surgery, L&D, or pediatrics cases
• Day shifts, 4x10 hours (6:30am-5:00pm), with occasional late days required
• Scheduled day off determined by department needs, special requests considered when possible
• No call required
• Floating within perioperative facility may be required as needed
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CST
• Radiation badge provided by parent company
• Experience required in ophthalmology, orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, endocrine, surgical oncology, plastics, robotics, and total joints
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• SSN and driver's license required for consideration
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Locals considered if residing within a 60-mile radius
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Work closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR nurses in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Responsible for supporting a wide variety of surgical cases in assigned specialties
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with application and is subject to approval based on department needs
• Returning employees must be separated from any prior position for at least 1 year before consideration
• Completion of onboarding modules required before starting assignment
• Participation in emergency response teams may be required during hurricane season (June-November)
• Scrub or dress code provided upon assignment
