American Traveler is seeking a Perinatal Sonographer with at least 2 years of perinatal ultrasound experience and ARDMS certification in Obstetrics and/or Gynecology.

Details

• Position is in a clinical and inpatient perinatal setting
• Performs a range of obstetric and gynecologic sonographic examinations using ultrasound and related diagnostic technologies
• Monday through Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am to 12:00pm, with the option for a 40-hour week
• No weekends or call required
• May float to other areas within scope of competency per organization needs
• EMR: Epic, with orientation training or test out option
• KRONOS timekeeping system in use

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years perinatal ultrasound experience required
• ARDMS in Obstetrics and/or Gynecology required; RVT preferred
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Experience performing clinic and inpatient scans required
• Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification is a plus but not required
• License required if applicable
• No local candidates accepted (must live more than 60 miles from facility)

Additional Information

• Responsible for the independent acquisition and analysis of sonographic data to assist in diagnosis and patient management
• Prepares preliminary reports and communicates findings to referring physicians
• Performs equipment cleaning, sterilization, and assists with daily operations of the sonographic lab
• Ensures patient safety and privacy throughout procedures and adheres to privacy regulations
• Collaboration with wider healthcare team and direct supervision by the physician
• Participation in care of patients and interaction as a communication liaison between patient and physician
• Minimum of two major holidays will be required during contract
• RTO must be provided at time of consideration and cannot be added to extend contract
• A 13-week break required for returning travelers after any completed contract
• Blocked scheduling is not allowed
• May be required to work one additional shift per schedule period
