Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist with ARRT(T) certification, WV state license, and minimum 2 years of acute care experience for a Level 1 trauma setting.

Details

• Work in an acute care hospital Radiation Therapy unit
• Level 1 trauma environment
• Day shifts with choice of (5) 8-hour or (4) 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• No weekend, holiday, on-call, or floating requirements
• Patient load averages 25 patients per linear accelerator, totaling approximately 50 patients per day, plus 6-9 CT simulation patients daily
• Specialized procedures include IMRT, IGRT, SRS, and SBRT
• Equipment includes Varian TrueBeam, Varian Trilogy, and Siemens Somation go
• Utilizes Varian ARIA Oncology Information System and EPIC for charting

Requirements

• Active ARRT(T) certification and WV state Radiation Therapist license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in radiation therapy, including IMRT, IGRT, SRS, and SBRT
• Experience with Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator and ARIA Oncology Information System required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Previous permanent employees must have been separated for 2 years; returning travelers must have been away for 2 years after 1 year cumulative experience
• Gray scrubs required

Additional Information

• Work closely with a team including radiation oncologists and a radiology supervisor or lead tech
• No IV starts required
• Department-specific orientation provided
• Supportive environment with on-site radiation oncologists
• No first-time travelers; candidates must meet experience criteria
• All candidates must interview directly with a manager
• Candidates can only be considered for one WVU facility at a time
