Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 3 years of operating room experience, including robotics, for a hospital assignment.

Details

• Hospital operating room setting with cases in ENT, general surgery, gynecology, neuro/crani/spine, orthopedics, urology, vascular, and robotics
• 10-hour shifts starting at 6:30 AM, Monday through Friday with days determined upon arrival
• On-call coverage required for nights and weekends, approximately 7-10 shifts per month with some shifts broken into 12 hours
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required, NBSTSA only
• High school diploma required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a hospital operating room setting
• Experience with ENT, general, gynecology, neuro/crani/spine, orthopedics, urology, vascular, and robotic surgeries required
• Active license required if applicable, no pending licenses accepted
• Two references from supervisors or managers preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer
• US Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for planning and preparing for surgical procedures and assisting the surgeon
• Accountable for sterilization of surgical equipment and assembly of both scheduled and emergency case carts
• Strong communication skills are essential
• CPI training is mandated for this position
• Dress code requires compliance with facility policy regarding scrubs
• COVID and flu vaccination documentation may be required
