American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer for an Echo Lab assignment, requiring AHA BLS certification and experience with stress and dobutamine echocardiograms.

Details

• Work in an Echo Lab focused on 2D, color Doppler, and Doppler studies of the heart
• Patient population includes those undergoing both standard and stress echocardiograms
• Performs stress and dobutamine echocardiograms
• Monday to Friday day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Uses Epic EMR for charting

Requirements

• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Professional license required if applicable; MA conditional licenses not accepted
• High level of knowledge in reading and interpreting cardiac sonography test results
• Proof of relevant certification and/or licensure required before consideration
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include independent planning and performance of echocardiographic procedures, assisting with scheduling, supply inventory, and equipment maintenance
• Involvement in teaching and providing guidance to Cardiac fellows on the unit
• Parking is not validated; public transportation and parking lots are available for a fee
• Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital for standard rate eligibility, with local rate 5% lower
• Scrub attire required as per department standards
