Description

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT (T) certification, Maine state license, and minimum one year of specialty experience for a variable schedule assignment in a hospital radiation oncology setting.

Details

• Work in a hospital Radiation Oncology department with outpatient and inpatient care
• Primarily adult and geriatric patient population with minimal pediatric cases
• Average of 90 patients treated daily across three Varian TrueBeam Linacs
• Uses Varian TrueBeam Linacs and Siemens Somatom Go Open Pro CT Simulator
• EMR system is Mosaiq, with experience preferred
• Flexible schedule offering either five 8-hour shifts or four 9-hour shifts plus a half day
• No weekends or on-call; holiday coverage rotated with other therapists
• Floating to cover linacs as needed

Requirements

• Active ARRT (T) certification is required
• Maine State Radiation Therapy license required; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year experience in radiation therapy specialty
• Experience with Varian Linacs and Mosaiq EMR preferred
• Must not have worked previously in a permanent capacity at any Northern Light Health Hospital
• Permanent address must be at least 100 miles south or southwest of the facility

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include administering radiation treatments to oncology patients utilizing advanced linear accelerator technology
• Supportive team structure with a 1–1.5 week orientation based on experience and comfort level
• Flu vaccination is required; only medical exemptions will be reviewed and must be submitted at least two weeks in advance
• Professional attire with any solid color scrubs permitted; scrubs may be provided as needed
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Time off requests require manager approval
