Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT/X-ray Technologist with dual modality certification and active VA state license for a 13-week assignment.

Details

• Work in a health center setting focused on CT and X-ray imaging
• Perform CT and general X-ray exams including heads, abdomen, pelvis, angiograms, extremities, chest (portable), and routine studies
• Typical caseload ranges from 0-15 studies per day, with rare increases up to 22 exams
• Shift is 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week
• On-call coverage required as needed, including occasional holidays and weekend backup call with a 45-minute response time
• Primarily assigned to Oakville Health Center, with rare floating to other Alexandria locations as needed
• Uses Epic EMR, Fuji PACS, Visage, GE CT unit, and Philips X-ray unit

Requirements

• Active VA state Radiologic Technologist license required for consideration
• Current AHA BLS, ARRT-R, and ARRT-CT certifications
• Minimum 2 years of experience in CT and X-ray preferred
• Strong IV insertion skills are required
• Experience with EMR charting on Epic and image management on Fuji PACS
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Independently perform CT scans and X-ray exams according to physician orders
• No dedicated IV team—must initiate all IVs when necessary
• Initial floor-specific orientation provided
• Scrub color is black as per department policy
