American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with at least 1 year of interventional Cath Lab experience and current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Details

• Position is in a hospital-based cardiac catheterization lab with 4 procedure rooms
• Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts starting at 6:30 AM
• On-call required every 4th weekend from end of shift Friday through Monday morning, plus one weekday call night per week
• Call team consists of 2 RNs and 2 Techs, with a required 30-minute response time
• No floating required
• Patients include those with STEMI/NSTEMI, ACS, heart failure, arrhythmias, and those needing interventional and EP procedures
• Average daily caseload is 20-25 patients
• Utilizes Cerner EMR, XPER (Phillips) hemodynamic monitoring, and IntellaSpace PACS

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of interventional Cath Lab experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ARRT certification required; RCIS preferred but not required
• Experience with procedures such as LHC/RHC, CHF, Angina, ACS, IABP/Impella, CTOs, and pericardiocentesis required
• Must be skilled in use of Rotablator, FFR, IVUS, Impella, IABP, laser lead extraction, pacemaker procedures, scrub and pan table, medrad, and groin site management
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR preferred
• License required if applicable

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Hospital provides green scrubs
• Orientation includes 24 hours classroom time and up to 3 shifts on the unit, adjusted to traveler’s experience
• Cath Lab Coordinator/Supervisor, RT, hospitalist, and transport support available 24/7
• RTO (Requested Time Off) approval is at the manager’s discretion
• Must work one major and one minor holiday per facility policy
• Perm staff must wait 6 months after prior employment to be eligible for travel positions
• No local candidates accepted within a 60-mile radius
