American Traveler is seeking an EP Technologist with at least 1 year of electrophysiology lab experience and active ACLS and BLS certifications.

Details

• Work in an acute care hospital electrophysiology lab with 4 labs, including 1 designated EP lab
• Treats adult patients with diagnoses such as a-fib, v-fib, heart block, PVCs, tachy-brady, and WWP
• Handles cases at an average volume of 3-4 per day
• Equipment includes Cerner EMR (transitioning to Epic), Merge, Claris, St Jude, Carto, Medtronic, and Philips x-ray
• Schedule consists of four 10-hour day shifts per week, Monday through Thursday
• Optional call available, averaging 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month, with a required 30-minute call response time
• Possible floating to other areas depending on facility need

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year recent electrophysiology lab experience required
• Current ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications required
• Experience with circulating, running x-ray equipment, scrubbing cases, and assisting MDs is essential
• Ability to work with equipment such as Claris, St Jude, Carto, Medtronic, and Philips x-ray
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR preferred; Epic experience a plus
• Two professional references required, including one from a supervisor and one from a peer or supervisor
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Job duties include circulating cases, running x-ray equipment, scrubbing procedures, assisting physicians, and operating Claris
• Must attend both unit-specific and hospital orientation sessions
• Scrubs are provided by the hospital
• Trauma level II environment
• Local candidates within 80 miles are considered, with an adjusted rate
• Former permanent staff must have a 6-month separation before being considered
• All clinicians are required to clock in and out at the facility
