Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with strong neuro, ortho/trauma, and robotics skills for a busy Level III trauma center operating room.

• Position based in the main OR and OR North units at a Level III trauma center
• Work with a diverse surgical caseload including peds to adult neuro cases, trauma, robotics, vascular, general, ortho, plastics, and more
• 1:1 patient assignment ratio in the OR throughout
• DaVinci XI robotics experience required as equipment is commonly used
• Meditech EMR is preferred for documentation
• Required to float between Main OR and OR North within the facility
• 10-hour day shifts with a weekend and overnight call schedule
• Call includes 1 weekend per month (0700-1900 or 1900-0700) and 1 overnight call shift per week with a 30-minute response time

Requirements

• Certification as CST through NCCT or NBSTSA is required
• BLS required for all CSTs
• Minimum of 2 years operating room experience required
• Experience with neuro (cranial and spine), orthopedics/trauma, and robotics required
• Experience with DaVinci XI required
• Ability to care for both pediatric and adult surgical patients
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Engage in specialized surgical procedures including neuro, trauma, robotics, and advanced general cases
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, CSTs, FAs, surgeons, anesthesiologists, anesthesia techs, and RNs
• Procedural scrubs are provided for all staff
• Must be prepared to provide call coverage on a rotating basis including some holidays
• Schedule is published monthly and may allow limited call trading
• Orientation available for up to 1 week
• First-time travelers are not considered for this role
