American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT/BLS certification for a day shift position in a large teaching hospital.

Details

• Work in the Interventional Radiology unit of a short-term acute care, Magnet-designated, Level III trauma teaching hospital
• Inpatient, OR, ED, and Interventional Radiology work setting
• Daily caseload of approximately 9 cases per technologist
• Day shifts Monday through Friday, starting between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM, 40 hours per week
• On-call coverage is required as needed, with 0-5 assignments per month
• No requirement to float to other units or sister facilities
• IR procedures include stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, peripheral interventions, drainages, vascular and neurological studies, and venous access
• Charting is performed using Excellian/Epic EMR

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Interventional Radiology
• Current ARRT and BLS certifications required
• Experience performing X-ray procedures for extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, and chest/thorax
• IR/Angio/Special Procedure experience required, including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, drainages, vascular and neurological studies
• Work setting experience in inpatient, OR, ED, and Interventional Radiology environments required
• Proficiency with Excellian/Epic EMR preferred
• Pending state license accepted if applicable
• License required if applicable

• First-time travelers will be considered
• Scrubs are provided by the unit
• Parking is available at a flat rate per hour
• A supervisor reference is required for consideration
• Return staff must have a minimum 3-month gap from last shift as perm or per diem
• Modules and pre-start training are required and completed prior to assignment
• Maximum of 5 days requested time off is allowed
