American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 18 months of experience in both peripheral vascular and neurovascular IR.

Details

• Work in a Level 1 trauma interventional radiology department
• Four IR procedure rooms equipped with Siemens single plane and biplane c-arms
• Two technologists assigned per room, with circulating and scrubbing responsibilities
• Case types include stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, peripheral procedures, drainages, vascular and neurological studies
• Procedures include nephrostomy, IVC filter placement, PE thrombectomy, intracranial thrombectomy, central line insertions, embolizations
• Night shift (4x10 hours) from 21:00 to 07:00
• On-call duty every 3rd or 4th weekend from Friday 17:30 to Monday 07:00
• All travelers are required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Cerner EMR system is used

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months experience in interventional radiology; 2 years preferred
• Must be proficient in scrubbing both peripheral vascular and neurovascular cases
• Current ARRT certification required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or RQI accepted)
• Graduation from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE
• IN or Compact state radiologic technologist license required prior to start date (license required if applicable)
• Experience with Siemens c-arms preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and participate in rotating weekend call
• Must be able to float as required
• Cerner charting experience required or willingness to learn

• Work closely with a team consisting of another IR technologist per room
• Candidates must be willing and able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the assignment
• Five days or less of requested time off can be auto-approved; additional days require facility approval
• Returning (perm/PRN) employees must have a 12-month break before consideration as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted and will be offered an in-state rate if eligible
• Scrubs and dress code guidelines will be provided upon orientation
