American Traveler is seeking an Endoscopy Tech with 2+ years of experience to assist in endoscopic procedures and scope reprocessing for a hospital-based position.

Details

• Hospital-based endoscopy and minor treatment unit with 4 procedure rooms and a separate satellite site
• 4 ten-hour day shifts per week, 07:00 to 17:30
• Rotating call requirement, including about one weekend per month and some weekday calls
• 1:1 patient ratio in endoscopy procedures
• Procedures involve use of ERBE and GI4000 for cautery
• EMR is Epic, but not actively used by Endo Techs
• Floating may be required between facilities within a 25-mile policy

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Endoscopy Tech
• Current BLS certification required
• Ability to assist physicians in endoscopy procedures and operate endoscopy equipment
• Proficient in cleaning, troubleshooting, and reprocessing endoscopy scopes
• SGNA certification preferred but not required
• License required if applicable
• Driver's license must be provided for consideration

Additional Information

• Duties include assisting with GI procedures and maintaining equipment readiness
• Scope cleaning and reprocessing is a primary responsibility
• Occasional floating may be required between nearby sites
• Scrubs are provided or personal scrubs may be worn
• No travel pairs or group assignments allowed
• Local candidates within 90 miles of any affiliated facility are subject to local pay rates
• Returning employees must disclose recent employment with MaineHealth facilities
• Weekend and weekday on-call is scheduled on a rotating basis
