American Traveler is seeking a Certified OR Technician with two years of experience for a position in an operating and recovery room setting, requiring BLS certification.

Details

• Work in a hospital operating and recovery room unit
• Handle a variety of surgical cases including general, vascular, and strong ortho/totals
• Schedule consists of 07:00-17:30 shifts with a 36/48 hour weekly rotation
• On-call is required as part of the schedule
• Patient caseload includes complex surgical procedures

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified OR Technician
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required
• Certification in surgical technology is required
• Active Kentucky or compact state license required if applicable
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
• Copy of driver’s license and two professional references are required for consideration

Additional Information

• Bi-weekly orientation sessions are provided for onboarding
• Must have experience with general, vascular, strong ortho, and total joint cases
• Shift rotation alternates between 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next
• No local candidates are accepted due to the 100-mile radius rule
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this assignment unless special circumstances arise
