American Traveler is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician for an evening shift position requiring 2 years of experience and CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA certification.

Details

• Work in a Level 1 Trauma Center in the Sterile Processing unit
• Evening shifts, 5x8s from 3:00pm to 11:30pm
• Every other weekend required (2 weekends per month)
• Mandatory floating within scope to other facilities as needed, up to 50 miles away
• Uses Cerner EMR; prior Cerner experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Sterile Processing experience
• CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA certification required
• BLS certification required
• No pending licenses accepted; active license required if applicable
• COVID vaccination required

Additional Information

• Sterilize, decontaminate, and assemble surgical instruments and trays
• Adherence to strict compliance and timely completion of lab work within 72 hours of offer
• No block scheduling or special scheduling requests allowed
• RTO limited to 5 days max, with no more than 2 consecutive days; no RTO on or around holidays or weekends
• Travelers must be willing to float outside their primary area with support from a team-based model
• 75-mile radius rule for local candidates; locals are preferred
• Scrub or dress code in accordance with hospital policies
• First-time travelers will be considered
