Description

American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with at least 3 years of experience in adult acute care settings and required or preferred ARDMS/CCI certification.

Details

• Work in an acute care hospital with Level I trauma and Magnet designation
• Adult acute care, outpatient, ER, and ICU patient populations
• Procedures include 3-D Echo, Bubble Study, imaging with contrast agents, M-Mode, pharmacologic stress echo, routine and treadmill stress echo, and portable studies
• Philips equipment experience preferred
• Cerner EMR with experience preferred
• Day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM with 4-5 on-call days per 6-week schedule, including at least one weekend day
• No floating outside the designated echo unit

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an echo tech/cardiac sonographer in adult acute care, outpatient, ER, and ICU settings
• ARDMS or CCI certification preferred
• Experience performing advanced adult echo procedures such as 3-D Echo and pharmacologic stress tests
• Familiarity with Philips equipment preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Current IL license required if applicable
• Must be able to follow isolation precautions

• No radius restriction for local candidates
• Must be away from previous permanent or PRN employment at this health system for at least 12 months
• RTO (requested time off) up to 5 days is auto-approved, more requires facility approval
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract
• Any solid color scrubs permitted

• Must complete modules virtually by end of day on first day
