Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician with at least 2 years of experience for an Operating & Recovery Room assignment requiring a valid license if applicable.

Details

• Work in an Operating & Recovery Room setting
• Two shift options: 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM or 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM, Monday through Friday
• Call required every third weekend and two weeknight calls per week when not on weekend call
• Schedule rotation is 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next week
• Bi-weekly orientation is provided

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technician
• BLS certification (AHA only; provide front and back of certificate if not electronic)
• Active Kentucky or Compact state license for Kentucky facilities, or WV or Compact for West Virginia facilities; license required if applicable
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
• Copy of valid Driver’s License
• Two professional references

Additional Information

• Travel pairs are not allowed unless there are multiple openings on the unit
• No local candidates accepted due to the 100-mile radius rule
• Orientation occurs every two weeks
• Job responsibilities include assisting with surgical procedures and supporting perioperative patient care
