American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist with 2+ years of echo experience, ARDMS certification, and proficiency in advanced echo procedures.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital with a Level 2 Trauma designation and residency program
• Work in a department with 3 dedicated echo rooms for inpatient and outpatient adult studies, with occasional pediatric cases
• Daily census averages 10-25 patients
• 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a rotating day off each week
• On-call 1-2 nights per week from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM with a 30-minute response expectation
• Every 3rd-4th weekend call rotation, including limited weekend and holiday inpatient echo coverage
• Procedures include standard echos, strain imaging, 3D measurements, bubble studies, stress echos, contrast studies, and TEEs (including in OR)
• Uses Epic EMR and ISCV (Phillips) PACS, with Phillips Echo equipment and SIFCO for scope processing
• No floating required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent echocardiography experience required
• BLS and ARDMS certification required (CCI not accepted)
• Standard echo skills, strain imaging, 3D measurements, bubble studies, stress echo, TEEs, and Definity contrast proficiency required
• First-time travelers considered with 5+ years echo experience
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Candidates will perform both inpatient and outpatient echocardiographic studies, including some weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
• Support provided by a team of 3-5 techs daily, lead tech, on-site manager, and cardiologist presence
• Orientation includes hospital and unit-specific training
• Scrub color is black
• Free parking is available
• Rotating call duties may require quick response, but call-ins are infrequent
• All RTO requests must be approved by the manager
