American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with experience in diverse specialties and acute care OR settings for a hospital evening shift assignment.

Details

• Position is based in a 597-bed acute care hospital operating room
• Coverage includes general, GYN, urology, plastics, ENT, thoracic, vascular, neurology/spine, and orthopedic surgical specialties
• Handles kidney transplants for dialysis-dependent and diabetic patients, including both recipient and deceased donor cases
• Robotic-assisted, ENT, ortho, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro experience required
• Scheduled evening shift: five 7.5-hour shifts per week, 2:00pm-10:00pm
• Weekend work required one weekend per month if needed
• On-call required twice monthly from 10:30pm-7:00am with a 30-minute response window
• Uses Epic EMR for charting; prior experience preferred
• Scrubs are provided

Requirements

• NBSTSA or NCCT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care OR experience in a similar-sized facility required
• Demonstrated proficiency in robotic and ENT cases, as well as ortho, vascular, general, thoracic, neuro, and kidney transplant procedures
• Active NJ or Compact license required if applicable
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• First-time travelers will be considered

• Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for a wide range of surgical cases across multiple specialties
• Participate in care of highly complex cases, including the state's largest number of kidney transplants
• Team-oriented environment with support during shifts and on-call periods
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation from the health system to be eligible for consideration
• RTO (time off) must be confirmed and submitted in advance
• All candidates are subject to background check and active license verification
