Description

American Traveler is seeking a Surgical Services CVOR Tech with at least 2 years of experience for day shift coverage, including call and floating within scope.

Details

• Position is in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) with exposure to main OR cases as needed
• Day shifts are scheduled as 3x12 hour shifts from 6:30 to 19:00
• Includes call rotation: 1 day per week and 1 weekend approximately every 4 weeks, with schedule subject to departmental needs
• Floating may occur within the facility and within the tech's scope of practice, including to the Main OR
• Patient population includes those requiring cardiovascular surgical procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of surgical tech experience; CVOR experience required
• Accepts first-time travelers who meet experience requirements
• License required if applicable
• Two supervisory references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must work major holidays as assigned during the contract based on the assignment period
• A maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed; no RTO permitted during the first week
• Must be fully compliant with documentation and orientation requirements prior to starting
• Perm/PRN employees must be away from all affiliated facilities for at least one full year before returning as a traveler
• Returning travelers deemed ineligible at one facility must complete a successful assignment elsewhere before returning
• Travel pairs are not permitted to work the same shift on the same unit
• No blocked scheduling is allowed
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
