American Traveler is hiring a MRI Technologist for a hybrid MRI/CT/X-ray acute care role requiring BLS, ARMRIT, ARRT (MR/R) certifications and experience with Epic EMR.

Details

• Work in an acute care medical center, long-term care, and outpatient settings
• Hybrid position covering MRI, CT, and X-ray modalities
• Primary patient types include emergency and outpatient cases
• MRI utilizes Siemen 1.5T system; X-ray utilizes Phillips equipment
• Charting is done using Epic EMR
• Day shift schedule is 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call and weekend call coverage is required
• Floating is required within scope, including to affiliate hospitals or within the hospital
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility

Requirements

• Valid BLS, ARMRIT, ARRT (MR and R) certifications required
• Experience and certification in MRI, CT, and X-ray imaging required
• Previous experience with Epic charting is required
• Copy of certifications, SSN, and DOB required for consideration
• Candidates must provide at least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year in a comparable setting
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required for use of facility vehicle
• Facility only accepts Hepatitis B vaccination and will not accept titers or declination
• License required if applicable
• No locals accepted; address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
• Pending licenses are not accepted
• Permanent staff must be separated for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler

Additional Information

• Duties include performing MRI, CT, and X-ray examinations for ER and outpatient patients
• May be required to float between hospital units or to affiliate hospitals nearby
• Travelers must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
• Scrub color is flexible (any) or business casual attire is accepted
• Free parking is available
• Facility provides housing (typically a 1-bedroom apartment) and a vehicle for the duration of the assignment
• No pets are allowed in facility-provided housing
• Traveler is responsible for cleaning the housing unit and vehicle upon departure
• Only travelers may operate facility-provided vehicles, and use is limited to a 30-mile radius
• Travelers can work for a maximum of 1 calendar year per assignment, with a 6-month break required before return
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
