Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist with at least 2 years of sleep disorders experience and appropriate licensure for a night shift position.

Details

• Work in an acute care sleep study setting with trauma level 2
• Unit has 4 sleep beds and a 1:2 technologist to patient ratio
• Assignment is 13 weeks in duration, working three 12-hour overnight shifts per week with no weekends or holidays
• Procedures performed include sleep studies and administering CPAP, O2, and Bi-level therapy to patients with sleep disorders
• Utilizes Natus Xltek sleep testing equipment, Resmed PAP machines, and EPIC One Chart EMR

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in the sleep disorders field
• Active ND Respiratory Care License and Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) credentials required
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience with EPIC EMR is preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Technologists are responsible for independently conducting sleep studies and administering treatments for patients with sleep disorders
• Initial orientation includes working with day technologists and one week of night shadowing before working independently
• All staff must wear gray scrubs while on duty
• Not accepting local travelers with a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility
• Previous Sanford Health employees must have an employment end date at least 6 months prior to consideration
