Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with at least 2 years of recent US OR experience and NBSTSA certification for a 13-week assignment.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital operating room setting
• 10-hour day shifts from 6:30am to 5:00pm with call required
• Work assignment is 13 weeks in duration
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital operating room within the United States
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Must provide two manager or supervisor references verifying recent experience, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Active license required if applicable
• Must have a valid US Social Security Number for consideration
• CPI certification mandated by the position

Additional Information

• Responsible for planning and preparing for surgical procedures and assisting the surgeon
• Handles sterilization of surgical equipment and assembles both scheduled and emergency case carts
• Must have strong communication skills
• No local candidates permitted within a 100-mile radius
• Copies of all certifications must be provided for consideration
