Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 2 years of operating room experience for a 13-week assignment requiring BLS and NBSTSA certifications.

Details

• Work in a hospital operating room setting
• 12-hour shifts from 6:30am to 7:00pm
• Call is required during the assignment
• Patient population includes a variety of surgical cases in scheduled and emergency settings

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• NBSTSA Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
• Active and unrestricted license required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years of operating room experience in a US hospital
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Strong communication skills required
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility—local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered
• CPI certification is mandated by the position
• Social Security number, date of birth, and copies of certifications required for consideration
• At least two manager or supervisor references verifying recent experience are preferred

Additional Information

• Responsible for planning, preparing, and assisting in surgical procedures
• Handles sterilization of surgical equipment and assembles scheduled and emergency case carts
• Works closely with surgeons and the perioperative team to ensure patient safety and procedure readiness
• Scrub attire required per hospital policy
