Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Endoscopy Technician with at least 2 years of in-unit GI experience and recent Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Work in a GI/Endoscopy unit performing a range of procedures including frequent ERCPs
• A combination of 9-hour day and evening shifts with call required
• No floating required for this position
• Utilizes endoscopy equipment including snares and gold probes
• Epic EMR system is used and recent experience within the past 2 years is strictly required
• Work days cover Monday through Sunday according to department needs

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent GI/Endoscopy unit experience required
• Current AHA BLS certification is mandatory
• Proficiency with endoscopy equipment and intra-procedure support required
• Demonstrated experience operating procedural equipment like snares and gold probes
• Epic EMR experience from within the last 2 years is required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Ability to run and troubleshoot endoscopy equipment during procedures is essential
• No block scheduling available for any reason
• Bi-weekly orientation is scheduled on Mondays
• Candidates should possess reliable personal or rental transportation as public transit is not accessible in the area
• Seasonal vehicle requirements apply; all season or snow tires are needed November through April
• All significant employment gaps over 90 days must be explained for consideration
