American Traveler is seeking a Surgical Services CVOR Tech with Level 1 trauma and complex cardiovascular surgical experience for a day shift position.

Details

• Work in a hospital CVOR unit supporting advanced cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgeries
• Day shift schedule of 4x10s from 6:30 to 17:00
• Required to take 90–120 hours of call every six weeks
• Patient cases include heart and lung transplant, valve replacement, open heart, vascular, and thoracic procedures
• Receiving pump lines from perfusion and preparing for cannulation is required
• All travelers will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Cerner EMR charting is required

Requirements

• BCLS certification required; American Heart Association or RQI accepted
• NBSTSA certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR experience in a Level 1 trauma center
• Experience with specialized cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures, including robotic and transplant cases
• Ability to receive pump lines from perfusion and prepare them for cannulation
• Travelers’ university must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation
• Active IN or Compact license required if applicable; must be in hand for start dates 2-4 weeks out
• Cerner EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Handle advanced surgical cases such as AAA repair, atherectomy, CABG, EVAR, TEVAR, TAVR, VAD, robotic assisted cardiac surgery, and more
• First-time travelers accepted if they have Level 1 trauma center experience
• Perm or PRN employees must be separated for 12 months before applying as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted for this perioperative surgical services position
• Auto-approval of 5 days or less of requested time off
• Candidates are required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Scrub dress code will be provided by the facility
