American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for night shifts at a Level 1 Trauma Center, requiring an active IL RN license and recent acute care experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital setting with a focus on Med/Surg patients
• Level 1 Trauma Center environment
• Three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
• Every other weekend required, totaling two weekends per month
• No block scheduling allowed
• Mandatory float to various units and locations within 50 miles as needed
• Cerner charting system is used

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum of 2 years recent acute care Med/Surg experience required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Must complete lab work within 72 hours of offer acceptance
• Proof of COVID vaccine required
• Must live within 75 miles of the facility

Additional Information

• Must be willing to float to other facilities or units as needed, sometimes with short notice
• Team-based model utilized if floated outside of primary area
• Navy blue scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
• No home units assigned; assignments may vary frequently
• Very strict compliance with employment and documentation policies
• Maximum of 5 approved days off, no more than 2 consecutive, and no weekend or holiday RTO allowed
