Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a CVOR position requiring BLS and national certification, with strong preference for at least 5 years of experience.

Details

• Work in a CVOR unit focusing on cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures
• Day shift schedule from 6:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, or as required
• Five 8-hour shifts per week with shared on-call responsibilities among three CSTs, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and off-shifts
• Team-based setup and support in the CVOR environment

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required through NBSTSA or NCCT
• BLS certification required
• Strongly prefer a minimum of 5 years of surgical tech experience
• Prior travel experience requested
• Must be able to tolerate physically and mentally demanding work
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsible for a wide variety of surgical procedures related to cardiac, vascular, and thoracic specialties
• Perform scrub functions including supply preparation, instrumentation, and sterile field setup
• Maintain sterile procedures and ensure necessary equipment is available to promote patient safety
• Assist in CVOR room setup in coordination with the surgical team
• Call is shared among three CSTs, with one weekend per month assigned
• 6-month (26 week) commitment required
