Description

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with at least 3 years of radiation oncology experience and current California licensure for an acute care setting.

Details

• Work in an acute care radiation therapy department
• Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• No weekend, call, or floating requirements
• Works with radiation therapy equipment including linear accelerators, simulators, dosimetry, and block cutting tools
• Uses Cerner for electronic medical records

Requirements

• Current Therapeutic Radiology license issued by the state of California (license required if applicable)
• Current ARRT (T) certification
• Active BLS certification
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in radiation oncology
• Documented skill and knowledge in operating radiation therapy equipment
• Submission of two professional references: one supervisor reference from the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor reference from the past 3 years including employment dates and rehire eligibility
• Copy of driver’s license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for delivering radiation treatments and supporting radiation oncology care
• Initial orientation is 12 hours
• Scrub or dress code requirements are not specified
• Candidates must not have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year, unless previously PRN through an outside firm
