Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) with at least 1 year of sleep tech experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Work in a 10-bed acute care sleep lab, including two beds for pediatric testing
• Outpatient department located in the lower level of a clinic, off-campus from the main hospital
• Patient population includes adults and children, with a 2:1 tech-to-patient ratio and 1:1 for patients under 3 years old
• Three 12-hour night shifts per week scheduled Sunday through Thursday, with shifts not always consecutive
• No floating to other departments required
• Uses computerized charting with Epic EMR, Natus XLTech Sleep Works, and ResMed S9 devices

Requirements

• Current RPSGT certification
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a sleep technologist
• Sleep tech training required
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing diagnostic sleep testing and all PAP therapy titration, patient check-in, room setup, patient hookup, charting, and cleaning equipment
• Staff do not work alone and call coverage is not required
• Orientation includes modified EMR training and one shift with another sleep tech
• Limited scoring during data collection
• Gray scrubs are required
• Flat lot parking available directly outside the building
• Secured entrance; no cafeteria onsite
• Previous employees must have a separation of at least 6 months prior to consideration
• Local candidates within 80 miles are accepted
