Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 1.5 years of experience for an evening shift in a surgical services department handling heavy ortho, neuro, and robotic cases.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital surgical services department
• Procedures include orthopedic, neurosurgery, robotic, spine, general, and GYN surgeries
• Typical caseload is approximately 25 cases per day
• Uses specialized equipment such as beds, drills, instrumentation, stealth, and microscopes
• EPIC is the charting system used in this setting
• Evening shift schedule: 5x8 hours, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm
• Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) required
• On-call required: 11:00 pm–7:00 am for two days during the week and one weekend per month

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact state license required if applicable
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification required
• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent surgical technologist experience
• Experience with a high volume of surgical procedures including ortho, neuro, and robotic cases
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR preferred
