Description

American Traveler is seeking a Surgical Technician First Assist (CST FA) with at least 1 year of OR experience and certification for a 13-week travel assignment.

Details

• Position based in a hospital surgical unit
• Full-time, 12-hour shifts with a total of 36 hours per week
• Assignment duration is 13 weeks
• Weekend, holiday, and weekday call required, with at least 8 call days per month and 1 weekend day per month
• Covers a range of surgical specialties including ortho, neuro, general surgery, robotic surgery, urology, and gynecology
• Candidates may be required to float to additional hospital locations within the health system

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent operating room experience as a Surgical Technician First Assist
• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) credential required
• Experience in ortho, neuro, general, robotic, urology, and gynecological surgical cases required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Job duties include assisting surgeons during procedures, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting complex surgical cases
• Scrubs are not provided; candidates must bring their own appropriate attire
• Travelers must have a permanent address at least 75 miles from the facility
• Returning employees must have a 12-month break from the facility before being eligible for a travel assignment
• COVID vaccination is required for consideration
• Must be available for varied weekend, holiday, and weekday on-call shifts
