Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with neuro/ortho spine and craniotomy experience for a Level 1 Trauma OR position.

Details

• Work in a large hospital Main OR with 29 operating rooms
• Neuro team handling cases from simple single-level to complex multi-level spine cases, spine tumors, neuro trauma, and DBS procedures
• Average of 45-60 cases per day
• Float to other surgical service lines within the Main OR as needed
• Scheduled day shifts with night rotation, 8-hour shifts
• Weekday call is two 8-hour shifts per schedule from 2330-0700
• Weekend call is three 12-hour shifts per schedule, 0700-1930 or 1900-0730
• Epic EMR in use, scrubs provided
• On-call and holiday coverage required (includes one major and one minor holiday)

Requirements

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Current CST VA Registration required for consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma OR
• Strong experience with neuro/ortho spine and craniotomy procedures
• Ability to meet a 45-minute call response time
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform complex neurosurgical and orthopedic spine procedures, including trauma and tumor resections
• Assist with deep brain stimulation and craniotomy cases
• Provide expert support to the neuro surgical team during varied and demanding operations
