Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist First Assistant (CST FA) for a hospital operating room position requiring at least 2 years of experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Work in a hospital operating room with a caseload spanning general, orthopedic, endovascular, urology, and OB surgical procedures
• Three 12-hour day shifts per week from 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.
• One night of call per week from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• One weekend of call per month (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.)
• Rotating holiday coverage is required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of operating room experience required
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Experience with orthopedic, general, endovascular, urology, and OB cases is preferred
• Eligible candidates may be RNFA or CSTFA
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Strict attendance policy applies: termination after three absences or tardies of 20 minutes or more
• A skills checklist completed within one year is preferred
• Cannot accept candidates who have been full-time employees of the health system within the past six months
• No more than five days of requested time off (RTO) will be considered
• Physical copies of certifications must be provided
• First-time travelers are eligible for consideration
