American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of recent cath lab and vascular experience to join a top-tier Level I trauma and teaching hospital.

• Position based in a Level I Trauma and Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• Work in a unit with 4 cardiac rooms and 3 vascular rooms
• Patient population includes acute cardiac cases (NON-STEMI, STEMI, TAVR, Watchman, Mitral Clip) and vascular cases (primarily lower extremity angiograms, EVAR, TEVAR)
• Patient ratio is 1:1 for Cardiac Cath Techs
• 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week
• On-call required: two weekends per month and two weekdays per month, further details provided during interview
• Holiday coverage required for at least one holiday per contract if applicable
• No floating required
• Utilizes EPIC EMR, Merge Hemo, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Philips/GE/Siemens X-ray equipment, and ISCV PACS
• Scheduling follows a 4-week cycle

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent cath lab experience required, including vascular and endograft procedures
• BLS, ACLS, and either ARRT-R or RCIS certification required
• Highly preferred: experience in IR or vascular surgery labs
• Experience using relevant equipment (Merge Hemo, Philips/GE/Siemens imaging, ISCV PACS, and Alaris pumps)
• Must be able to chart in EPIC
• Must meet a 50-mile radius rule from permanent address to assignment location
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assisting in a wide spectrum of cardiac and vascular interventions such as TAVR, Watchman, Mitral Clip, angiograms, EVAR, and TEVAR procedures
• Support teams include traffic flow coordinator, charge nurse, IV/VAT, VAD, RT, ECMO, and code teams
• One week general orientation and two days departmental orientation provided before starting on call
• EPIC module test and department-specific ACE modules are required
• Travelers may be required to cover others’ RTO, leading to potential extra call duties
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Scrub color is green and provided by facility

• Must be willing to work at least one holiday per contract if applicable
