American Traveler is seeking an experienced Echo Technologist for a high-volume acute care setting with adult echo expertise and ARDMS or CCI certification.

Details

• Work in a Level 2 trauma acute care environment in an Echocardiography department
• Majority of work involves adult echo, including Definity and Agitated Saline studies
• High-volume, fast-paced department handling 5 to 8 cases per day, average 7
• Inpatient and outpatient echo studies are performed, with most hospital exams conducted at bedside
• Procedures performed may include TEE, Exercise Stress Echo, and Dobutamine Stress Echo based on experience and departmental needs
• Pediatric echo experience is a plus but not required
• Utilizes Epic EMR, including CUPID and TOM TECH Reporting, and PACS system; Philips Echo machines (EPIC 7, IE33, CX50)
• Variable day shifts, with possible evening and rotating weekend shifts; call rotation including weekends and holidays
• 8-hour shifts during weekdays, 10-hour shifts on weekends (Saturday only)
• Department staffed Monday through Sunday with on-call required when not staffed
• No floating to other units or departments

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent experience in echocardiography required, 4-5 years preferred
• Current ARDMS (ARDCS) or CCI (RCS) certification required
• BLS certification required
• ND State License required if applicable
• Demonstrated adult echocardiography competency; pediatric experience a plus
• Experience with Epic EMR and Philips echo machines preferred
• Must be able to work independently at times
• Flexibility to cover variable shifts and on-call is required

• Main duties include performing adult echo exams, including Definity and Agitated Saline studies for both inpatients and outpatients
• Opportunity to perform advanced procedures such as TEE and stress echo if experienced
• Team-oriented environment with support to help new permanent staff acclimate
• Gray scrubs are required
• Medical center does not accept local travelers with permanent addresses within 80 miles
• Returning employees must have ended previous employment at least 6 months prior to consideration
• Must badge in and out daily as per facility policy
• Holiday coverage is required as part of the rotation
