Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 2 years of OR experience and NBSTSA certification for a hospital-based day shift position.

Details

• Work in an acute care hospital operating room setting
• Schedule is 5x8-hour day shifts from 07:00 to 15:30, with weekends, call, and holiday shifts as needed
• Float to other units as required by the hospital
• Expected to work 2 out of 3 major holidays, with no time off permitted between Christmas and New Year's
• Utilizes EPIC EMR, and prior EPIC experience is required

Requirements

• Valid NBSTSA certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) is required
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Surgical Technologist in an operating room setting
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required
• Experience with EPIC charting is required
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Ability to care for COVID patients if necessary
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Expected to complete all required modules prior to start
• Work in a tobacco- and fragrance-free environment
• RTO (requested time off) is limited to a maximum of 7 days per contract
• Local candidates within 50 miles will be offered a lower rate
• Must be able to adapt to floating and adjusted schedules as needed
• Interview with the manager is required as part of the hiring process
