American Traveler is seeking an RN Sleep Test Technician with at least 3 years of recent cardiology experience and active RN licensure.

Details

• Work performed in a clinical cardiology setting specializing in cardiac stress testing
• Day shift schedule
• Position involves direct collaboration with cardiologists and diagnostic imaging teams
• Procedures include both exercise and pharmacologic cardiac stress tests

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience in a relevant cardiology setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency in cardiac physiology, EKG setup and interpretation, and cardiovascular medications
• Ability to respond to cardiac emergencies and perform nursing interventions as needed
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Conducts pre-test patient assessments, screens contraindications, and monitors physiologic indicators during testing
• Administers medications such as Lexiscan (regadenoson) and dobutamine per protocol
• Documents procedures and patient responses in the EMR
• Ensures proper equipment functionality and compliance with regulatory standards
• Provides patient education regarding testing procedures, risks, and follow-up
• Locals are accepted as there is typically no radius rule for this position
