Description

American Traveler seeks a Surgical Services-OB Tech with NBSTSA/CST certification and two years of surgical scrub tech experience for a Family Birth Center position.

Details

• Position is within a Family Birth Center providing support to OB patients and the nursing team
• Day shifts, 5x8 hours from 7:00 to 15:30, rotating every other weekend
• No call requirements
• Epic charting experience preferred

Requirements

• NBSTSA/CST certification required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical scrub tech experience required
• Surgical OB experience preferred
• Must have a valid CA license (license required if applicable)
• Must be able to go for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• All certifications must be in hand at time of consideration
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay

Additional Information

• Supports OB procedures under the supervision of a Charge Nurse
• Daily responsibilities include technical support for registered nurses and OB patients
• Modules are completed during orientation via e-learning, averaging 1-5 hours
• Return staff must have been gone for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
• Only one holiday request off will be approved during the contract
• Scrub dress code as required by unit standards
