American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with strong robotics experience for a comprehensive surgical services department.

Details

• Work in a hospital surgical department with 11 operating suites, including 2 cardiovascular ORs and a specialized procedure room
• Handle a wide range of surgical cases including gynecology, oncology, podiatry, orthopedics, breast, plastics, general surgery, urology, robotics, endoscopy, cardiothoracic, and vascular
• Care for a diverse patient population ranging from geriatric to pediatric
• 10-hour day shifts with varying start times (6:45-17:15 or 8:45-19:15)
• Call includes every 9th weekend (Friday 19:00–Sunday 19:00) and 1 weeknight call per week (19:00–07:00)
• Weekend and holiday work required as needed
• No floating required
• Uses Epic EMR with experience strongly preferred

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a certified surgical technologist
• Active NBSTSA certification required; NCCT not accepted
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required
• Strong robotics surgery experience required
• License required if applicable
• Ability to work with diverse patient populations and a broad range of surgical specialties
• Epic charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Main responsibilities include assisting in a variety of surgical procedures with a focus on robotics cases
• May be required to provide care for COVID patients as needed
• Must complete required modules prior to the start date
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract permitted
• Expectation to work at least one of two upcoming major holidays
• Local candidates within 50 miles are eligible at a lower bill rate
• Pairs are allowed but matched schedules cannot be guaranteed
