American Traveler is seeking a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and ARDMS-RVT or CCI RVS certification to perform a variety of vascular studies in a hospital setting.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based vascular ultrasound department
• Adult patient population
• Perform 8-12 vascular exams per day including carotid, venous, reflux venous, vessel mapping, arterial duplex (upper/lower), abdominal, aortic iliac, renal artery, mesenteric, hepatoportal, and hemodialysis mapping
• Operate Philips ultrasound equipment
• Day shift schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No weekends, on-call, or floating required during this assignment
• Holiday coverage as scheduled

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a vascular ultrasound tech
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Either ARDMS-RVT or CCI RVS certification required
• Active MD or Compact License required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
• Must provide two satisfactory professional references from recent employers (including one supervisor or manager and one charge RN)
• Comfortable performing a full range of vascular ultrasound procedures
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility

• Responsibilities include independently performing all required vascular ultrasound exams and procedural documentation
• First-time travelers accepted
• Holiday coverage according to department needs
• No floating required for this assignment
• Scrub attire per hospital policy
• CPI certification may be required as part of compliance
• Return travelers must have been absent from the system for at least 6 months, and former staff must be gone for 12 months before returning as a traveler
• RTO must be included at initial submission and cannot be changed or added after offer, and should not exceed 7 days
• Block scheduling or specific shift restrictions cannot be guaranteed
