American Traveler seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist for a rotating shift role in a high-risk Labor & Delivery setting, requiring NBSTSA certification and tertiary/high-risk experience.

Details

• Position is in a Labor & Delivery unit with a Level III NNICU
• Care for a high-risk, high-volume patient population including VBACs, Caesareans, and natural births
• 12-hour rotating shifts including day and night coverage
• Position requires a minimum of 4 weekend shifts and 2 Fridays per six-week period
• No on-call required; extra shifts may be available
• Weekly orientation held every Monday except holidays

Requirements

• Valid NBSTSA certification required
• Massachusetts license required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year Labor & Delivery experience in a tertiary or high-risk setting required
• Experience with high-risk deliveries and Level III NNICU environments
• COVID vaccine, booster, and seasonal flu vaccination required (medical exemptions allowed)
• No first-time travelers will be considered
• Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Minimum six-month separation required for previous employees and travelers from Beth Israel Lahey Health facilities

• Key responsibilities include supporting all L&D surgical procedures and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
• Strict adherence to sterile technique and infection prevention protocols required
• Parking can be expensive, up to $43/day, but public transportation options are available

• Holiday coverage may be required depending on shift scheduling
