American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist with ARRT or RCIS/CCI certification and strong interventional cardiology skills.

Details

• Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization lab
• Performs a variety of procedures including diagnostic catheterizations, coronary athrectomy, IABP and Impella insertion/removal, orbital and rotational athrectomy, PCI, PTCA, TAVR, Watchman, and Mitraclip
• Provides care for young, middle-aged, and older adult patients
• Utilizes Epic EMR; experience preferred but not required
• Four 10-hour day shifts per week, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with rotating day off
• On-call obligation includes 7 on-call shifts and 5 late shifts every 6 weeks, with a 30-minute callback requirement
• One week of call (Friday through Sunday) every 6 weeks must be taken consecutively; remaining call shifts are assigned at random
• Rotates one Saturday shift for elective cases every 6 weeks
• All staff and travelers rotate holiday shifts

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years recent Cath Lab experience required; 3 years preferred
• Current ARRT plus VA or other state license required or active RCIS/CCI certification required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Interventional radiology or critical care experience preferred
• Previous experience with Impella and IABP insertion/removal required
• Epic EMR experience preferred but not mandatory
• Active license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Must be willing to participate in modules and orientation prior to or during the onboarding process
• Must work at least one holiday per 13-week assignment and two holidays during winter holiday periods
• Applicants who reside within 100 miles of the facility, as indicated by driver’s license address, are not eligible
• Prior employees must have a minimum one-year separation before returning as a traveler, with updated policy changes after July 1, 2025
• All travelers are subject to facility-specific re-hire and extension policies
• Scrubs are required per facility guidelines
