American Traveler seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist for a surgical unit position with expertise in total joints, sports medicine, bariatrics, and spine procedures.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital surgery unit
• Handles a variety of cases including ortho, spine, bariatrics, urology, general surgery, ENT, GYN, and DaVinci procedures
• Robotic surgeries include knees and hips utilizing MAKO and Navio systems, and some DaVinci work
• Work schedule consists of 10-hour AM shifts, 0630-1700, with weekend coverage every other weekend
• On-call and float requirements, with floating as needed within skillset

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technician
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NBSTSA or NCCT Surg Tech certification required
• Experience with total joints, sports medicine, bariatrics, and spine procedures required
• Flu and COVID-19 vaccines required, with accepted medical or religious exceptions
• License required if applicable

• Assist in a range of surgical procedures, prioritizing safety and efficiency in the operating room
• Involved in robotic surgeries and the use of advanced surgical technology
• Team-oriented environment with periodic weekend and float assignments
• Scrub attire is expected per hospital dress code
• Returning travelers may have limits on total hours and break requirements before re-assignment
