American Traveler seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist - OB Tech for night shifts in a Level II Trauma Center with BLS certification required.

Details

• Work in a community acute care hospital on an 18-room Obstetrics unit
• Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Average daily census of 10 with a 1:2 tech-to-patient ratio
• On-call required 4 times within a six-week period
• Expected to float within scope, including to Pediatrics as a patient care tech
• Weekend rotation required, working every third weekend
• Uses Cerner for charting and EMR documentation

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ OB Tech experience required
• Labor & Delivery and GYN case experience including abdominal hysterectomy, C-sections, and vaginal delivery required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• No license required for this Allied role
• Must arrive in Illinois 3 business days prior to compliance deadline for fingerprinting
• References and background check required
• Cerner experience preferred
