Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and ARRT certification for a night shift position covering advanced CT exams in an acute care setting.

Details

• Acute care environment with coverage for ER, inpatient, and occasional outpatient imaging
• Mixed adult and pediatric patient population
• Common studies include CT, CT angiography (CTA), and portable x-rays
• Department features 1 x-ray room, 1 portable x-ray unit, and 1 CT machine (Siemens Somatom GoUP with Bracco Injector)
• 10 hour night shifts, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 pm to 5:30 am
• Will work independently on nights with ER and ancillary department support
• Uses EPIC EMR and McKesson PACS systems

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
• Current ARRT (R) and BLS certifications required
• Must be a certified x-ray technologist with advanced knowledge of CT exams
• Active state license required if applicable; pending licenses not accepted
• Experience with Siemens imaging equipment preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Must not have worked in any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility in the past year as a direct employee
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility; DL used to verify address
• Two recent references needed: one from a supervisor within past 12 months and one from a peer or supervisor within past 3 years

Additional Information

• Performs advanced CT procedures, CTA, and portable x-rays independently during night shifts
• Interacts with a supportive team environment and communicates regularly with ER and ancillary teams
• No radiologist or lead technologist on-site overnight
• Will receive one week of department-specific orientation
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
• Holiday and weekend coverage usually handled by permanent staff, but may be asked to fill in if needed
• Additional requested time off must be declared up front; further time off requests will not be approved
