Description

American Traveler is seeking a dual-modality CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, ARRT credentials in CT and Radiography, and valid NY State licensure.

Details

• Position involves both CT scans and X-ray procedures in an orthopedic specialty hospital setting
• Caseload includes inpatient, outpatient, ER, and ICU patients, with up to 20 patients per day across all age groups
• Orthopedic exams performed using Siemens equipment, with procedures on extremities, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, and multiplanar reconstructions
• CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs
• Candidate may rotate across multiple departments and private sector clinics within the hospital
• Work schedule is 4x9.5 hour evening shifts (2:30 PM to midnight) on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays
• Initial 2-week training is Tuesday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Epic EMR experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent experience as a CT Technologist
• ARRT R and ARRT CT certifications and valid NYS license required
• BLS and IV certification required
• Experience operating Siemens CT and X-ray equipment required
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or move patients/equipment over 150 pounds
• Epic charting experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination required
• License required if applicable

• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
• Charcoal grey scrubs required
• No RTO allowed within the first 2 weeks; up to 5 days of RTO permitted thereafter
• Parking provided at no cost in employee garage; street parking also available
• Return staff must have a 1 year gap before eligibility to return as a traveler
• May require EKG testing depending on unit
