American Traveler seeks an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist for a hospital cardiovascular OR position requiring NBSTSA certification and prior CVOR experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital CVOR unit specializing in cardiovascular and thoracic procedures
• Day shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, 0700-1930
• Participation in call rotation with weekday call from 3 pm to 7 am and weekend 24-hour call
• Procedures include aortic aneurysm repair, angioplasty/stenting, atrial septal defect repair, cardiomyoplasty, CABG, EVAR, laparoscopic cardiac surgery, mitral valve replacement, pericardial window, TAVR, and VAD
• Uses Epic EMR, prior Epic experience required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of prior CVOR tech experience is required
• Experience with cardiovascular procedures listed is required
• NBSTSA certification is required
• BLS certification through AHA is required (military certifications accepted; ARC not accepted)
• Epic EMR experience required
• First time travelers are not accepted unless they have at least 2 years of continuous CVOR experience
• State issued ID is required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Annual and pre-start Healthstream modules must be completed, with 8-12 total hours depending on specialty
• All RTO requests must be approved prior to contract signing; no more than 5 non-consecutive days may be requested, and only 1 holiday RTO permitted from November to January
• Team includes department staff participating in shared call responsibilities
• License required if applicable
• Local candidates within 90 miles are accepted
