American Traveler is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician with national certification and relevant licensure for an evening shift assignment in a hospital Central Services unit.

Details

• Work in a hospital Central Services/Sterile Processing unit
• Evening shifts, 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with rotating weekends
• 13-week assignment
• Responsible for decontaminating, cleaning, sterilizing, assembling, packaging, and storing medical instruments and equipment
• Manages inventory and distributes sterilized items to hospital departments

Requirements

• National certification required
• MA license required if applicable
• Must have copies of required certifications and flu vaccination (during flu season)
• COVID-19 vaccine and booster required, with medical exemptions allowed
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• Must have been separated from employment at any related facility for at least 6 months prior to consideration

• Maintain strict infection control procedures when handling instruments and equipment
• Collaborate with multiple hospital departments for inventory and distribution needs
• Required to follow hospital dress code and personal protective equipment standards
• Returning employees must observe a 6-month break before returning
• Submit records of all required vaccinations prior to start of assignment
