American Traveler is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with ARRT and BLS certification for a Level II Trauma Center with inpatient, outpatient, and trauma cases.

Details

• Work in a hospital radiology department serving adult and occasionally pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Patient caseload averages 4 patients per hour, totaling around 40 patients per day
• Duties include fluoro, surgical, portable, trauma, and diagnostic radiology procedures
• O-arm experience is preferred; DEXA experience is a plus but not required
• Equipment used includes GE and Siemens fluoroscopy rooms, Konica DR room, Siemens x-ray rooms, GE and Carestream portables
• Cerner EMR system is used; experience with Cerner is preferred
• Floating is required throughout the hospital and across different areas of the radiology department
• Shifts are 8, 10, or 12 hours with variable weekend rotation and voluntary on-call
• Team includes 7-9 techs during weekday days, 3-4 techs with students during evenings, and 3-4 techs per night

Requirements

• ARRT certification is required
• BLS certification is required
• Minimum of one year relevant x-ray technologist experience preferred; first-time travelers must have at least two years of experience
• Strong skills in fluoroscopy, surgery, portable x-ray, trauma and diagnostic work required
• Experience with lead markers required; O-arm and DEXA experience preferred but not required
• Must purchase your own markers
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Main responsibilities include conducting a wide variety of imaging procedures across multiple radiology sub-areas
• Expect to work one major and one minor holiday per hospital policy
• Scrubs in any color are acceptable
• Free parking is available on site
• All employees receive an 8-hour hospital orientation and 2-3 shifts of on-unit training with another tech
• Perm staff must wait 6 months before being eligible for travel roles
• No local candidates allowed within a 60-mile radius
